Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

The Company

Our clientis an innovative and fast-growing Ecommerce company based in New York City, focused on revolutionizing the Events industry. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a talented Data Analytics Engineer to join the team.

The Role

We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to help scale data models and reporting analytics platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality, accurate data modeling (using dbt) working to help others on the data team transform raw data into clean, modeled data. You will also be a thought partner and work with stakeholders to create accurate reporting solutions that answer key business questions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of dbt data model.
• Create a consistent reporting layer to enable data analysis in BI tools, Looker and Hex.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business intelligence to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Monitor and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all data sources.
• Create documentation for technical and nontechnical teams on reporting definitions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering
• Experience with reporting and analytics BI tools, preferably DBT and Looker.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and resourceful approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality data solutions.
