Along with our partner, we are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer (Level 2) to join their data team with a focus on building and scaling their Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). In this role, you will design and own core data models that serve as the foundation for analytics across the business, transforming raw data into reliable, well-governed, and reusable data assets.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that drive consistent, trusted insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling: Design and maintain robust, scalable data models that support analytics and reporting.
- Own Core EDW Data Models: Design, build, and maintain scalable, well-governed data models that serve as the source of truth for key business domains
- Build and Optimize Data Pipelines: Develop reliable, efficient ELT pipelines that ensure timely and accurate data ingestion into the EDW
- Ensure Data Quality and Reliability: Proactively monitor, test, and improve data quality, availability, and consistency across critical datasets
- Drive Performance and Cost Efficiency: Optimize query performance and data model design to support scalable analytics and efficient warehouse usage
- Partner with Stakeholders: Translate business requirements into durable data models and challenge ambiguous or low-quality inputs
- Enable Self-Service Analytics: Deliver clean, well-documented datasets that reduce dependency on ad hoc requests and empower analysts and business users
- Contribute to Engineering Standards: Participate in code reviews and help evolve best practices for modeling, testing, and deployment within the EDW
- Production Support: Participate in rotating support to quickly resolve data pipeline or infrastructure issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable queries
- Deep understanding of data modeling principles, including dimensional modeling and building reusable, well-structured data assets within an EDW
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (preferably Snowflake) and modern ELT workflows
- Proven ability to design, build, and own data pipelines and models end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex data issues and improve system reliability
- Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into structured, scalable data solutions
- Strong communication skills with a track record of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar dashboarding platforms
- Basic Python skills, especially for scripting or orchestrating pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira
- Experience using LLMs or AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate analytics workflows such as SQL development, debugging, documentation, or data validation
- A fully remote position with a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.
- Opportunity to own and scale enterprise-level data models and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Two weeks of paid vacation per year.
- 10 paid days for local holidays.
*Please note our partner is only looking for full-time dedicated team members who are eager to fully integrate within their team.
