Qualifications

Job description

As an Analytics Engineer II, you will be a driving force in bridging the gap between raw data and actionable business insights. You will take ownership of the end-to-end data lifecycle, from designing scalable models to refining our ELT best practices. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who balances technical execution with a strategic understanding of how data impacts business outcomes. This position will report directly to the Director of Analytics.

This position offers a base salary of $115,000 and company equity.

The Day-to-Day

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines to collect, transform, and aggregate data from various sources that yield high-quality analytics, both internally and externally.
  • Create and maintain data models and schema that are trustworthy, efficient, flexible, and high-performing for analytics and business intelligence.
  • Engage with stakeholders & team members to understand data needs, translating complex business logic into high-performing data schemas that ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity across all stages of the pipeline.
  • Continuously optimize and improve data processing pipelines and analytic workflows for better performance and scalability; Drive data observability and monitoring initiatives, ensuring our pipelines are resilient and our data is trustworthy.
  • Automate and streamline manual processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce human error.
To Be Successful

  • Starting with the obvious: you are PASSIONATE! (Seriously, you must LOVE what you do!)
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a highly technical data analyst role.
  • Proficiency in SQL & Python.
  • 3+ years of experience in dbt (Data Build Tool), including experience with CI/CD workflows and package management.
  • 3+ years operating in Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) and advanced modeling techniques (e.g., Data Vault or Kimball).
  • Competence working with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence, and contribute to ongoing improvements in the analytics stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a highly analytical mindset
  • You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
  • And you have a bachelor’s degree in anything. We mean it! Business, History, Cooking (actually, that could be incredibly useful) … anything.
