Clarium is hiring a Data Integration Engineer to own hospital data integrations end-to-end. You will design production data pipelines and work directly with customers to understand source systems, ensuring reliable ingestion and transformation into Astra OS.

You will partner with data engineers and product managers to iterate feeds, build reusable connectors, and keep production systems robust while communicating clearly with stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifikationen

THE OPPORTUNITY

Every hospital system Clarium onboards comes with its own tangle of ERP, inventory, and EHR systems and getting that data flowing reliably into Astra OS is what makes everything else possible. As we grow across more health systems, we need an engineer who can own that work end to end, directly with the customer.

We're hiring a Data Integration Engineer to own the technical side of customer data integrations for hospital systems and their suppliers. You'll work directly with customers to understand their systems and bring integrations into production, designing reliable ingestion and transformation workflows along the way. You'll partner closely with data engineers and product managers to iterate on the customer data feeds that power end-user features, ensure integrations are correct and production-ready, and build reusable connectors and internal tools that make future integrations faster and more scalable.

This role goes beyond traditional backend engineering. Success requires comfort with ambiguity, unfamiliar systems, and frequent customer interaction, along with full ownership of production systems. If you enjoy building robust systems and staying close to the customer problems they solve, this is a strong fit.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

• Lead technical discovery sessions with hospital IT and supply chain teams to understand source systems, data structures, and integration requirements
• Design, build, and own production data pipelines that ingest and transform data from customer ERP, supply chain, and operational systems into Clarium's platform
• Troubleshoot integration failures in live customer environments from schema mismatches to authentication issues to upstream data quality problems
• Build reusable connectors and integration patterns that reduce onboarding time for future customers
• Partner with product and engineering to translate field learnings into platform improvements
• Maintain clear documentation and runbooks so integrations are supportable at scale
• Communicate integration status, risks, and timelines clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills; you write production code, not just scripts
• Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines or system integrations in a production environment
• Comfort working directly with external customers or stakeholders; you can run a technical discovery call, manage expectations, and communicate clearly under pressure
• A builder's instinct: you figure things out in ambiguous environments, read documentation, and don't wait to be unblocked
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, or similar data exchange patterns
• Strong written and verbal communication; you can explain a technical problem to a non-technical audience without losing the substance

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) or EHR/ERP systems (Epic, Cerner, Workday, Oracle, Infor)
• Familiarity with healthcare supply chain or hospital operations
• Prior experience at an early-stage startup

Target Base Salary Range: $130K - 150K

The base salary Clarium offers may vary depending upon the ultimate scope and responsibilities of the position and on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total package will include equity, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
