Job description

The Managed Care Analytics Director oversees the analytics that support MedStar Health's Managed Care Operations contract negotiations and system initiatives. This leadership role directs financial modeling, reimbursement forecasting, contract performance monitoring, and market analyses that inform payer negotiations and organizational decision-making. As a key member of interdisciplinary teams, you'll partner with physicians, finance, and administrative leaders on managed care contract carve-outs, recommend process improvements to maximize reimbursement, develop business rules, prepare financial and regulatory reports, and collaborate with billing teams, providers, and payers to resolve reimbursement and operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree MBA, MHS or other graduate degree with a health care or information systems concentration preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery settings, clinical data management, and health care insurance
• 5-7 years Healthcare analytics, database management, and information management. Managed care payor or multi-hospital health system reimbursement experience
