Job summary

tms is seeking a motivated Analytics Agentic AI Intern to join our Sourcing team for a hands-on seven-week program in Chicago. You will help develop AI-driven tools, participate in cross-functional sessions, and gain exposure to forecasting, benchmarking, and pricing strategies within a fast-paced global agency setting.

The internship offers real client project experience, collaboration with Production, Client Services, and Technology teams, and opportunities to learn about emerging AI trends

Qualifications

• Rising junior, senior, or recent graduate with a 3.0+ GPA.

LIFE OF A TMS SUMMER INTERN

Here at tms, we care about our people, and we want to help foster their skills into the best they can be. The tms Summer Internship Program aims to do just that. Analytics Agentic AI Intern

We're looking for a motivated, analytical, and innovation‑minded summer intern to join our Sourcing team – This team supports our customers by managing the end‑to‑end sourcing of all packaging and consumables, ensuring restaurants always have the right products at the best market price. They’re now developing tech‑enabled tools that automate data analysis so they can focus on strategic, value‑driven pricing. Over the course of 7 weeks, you'll gain hands‑on experience building and testing agentic AI models, supporting the creation of tools that will shape our future ways of working at tms. This is a great opportunity for someone curious about how emerging technology can transform sourcing in a fast‑paced global agency environment.

This intern will support the Sourcing team with day‑to‑day AI model development and testing, including assisting with data preparation, analysis, and organization for forecasting and benchmarking tools. You will have the opportunity to participate in cross‑functional innovation sessions, help track action items, and collaborate with Production, Client Services, Creative, and Technology teams to support AI‑led projects. You will also conduct research into emerging trends in AI, automation, materials, and product innovation while learning how AI can improve decision‑making around cost, quality, sustainability, and product performance. Throughout the internship, you will gain hands‑on exposure to AI‑driven projects and data models for globally recognized brands, build your understanding of forecasting, benchmarking, and classification, and grow your confidence working with emerging technologies in a professional environment.

Skills And Experience

• Rising Junior, Senior, or Recent Graduate
• GPA: 3.0 or higher

• Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
