Job summary

On-Board Services, Incorporated is seeking an Analytical Research and Development Scientist to work with a project team in the laboratory in Somerset, NJ. The role focuses on developing and validating HPLC/GC methods for assay, impurity, dissolution, residual solvents testing and particle size distribution for active ingredients and finished dosage forms.

Responsibilities include method development and validation, stability testing, impurity characterization, and report writing for regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field required; Master’s degree preferred
• 3–10 years of experience as an R&D Chemist within the pharmaceutical industry
• Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, particle size distribution
• Experience with pharmaceutical method development, method validation, and stability testing
• Ability to write technical reports suitable for regulatory submissions with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Compensation: $35-$40/HR

Role Summary

The Analytical Research and Development Chemist will work with an assigned project team in the laboratory to analyze and develop HPLC and GC methods for assay, impurity, dissolution, residual solvents testing, and particle size distribution of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, and finished dosage forms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform method development, method validation, and stability testing, including report writing, for various dosage forms including tablets, hard gelatin capsules, oral/topical liquids, oral suspensions, powder for oral suspensions, and nasal products with minimal supervision
• Support the Product Development team in developing new products
• Identify and characterize unknown impurities in drug products and drug substances
• Independently perform analytical testing and troubleshooting to achieve desired results
• Conduct elemental impurity testing using ICP-MS and ICP-OES
• Troubleshoot analytical issues and recommend solutions
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and reports
• Perform additional duties as assigned
