Job summary

Solstice Advance Materials in Geismar, LA seeks a Laboratory Technician – Level 3 to perform chemical tests and analyses on process and finished product samples. The role supports QA/QC, prepares reagents, maintains instrumentation, and upholds safety and continuous improvement in a high-performance laboratory environment.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, chemistry coursework and lab experience, or equivalent, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Chemistry coursework (12 hours) with 5+ years lab experience, or 6+ years in chemical lab.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and lift up to 25 pounds.
• U.S. person required for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs chemical tests and analysis on process and finished product samples following established laboratory methods and procedures.
• Analyzes process, cooling tower, and boiler feed water for proper chemical treatment.
• Samples and analyzes process and product samples as required.
• Performs QA/QC testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Prepares reagents, solutions, and standards as required.
• Maintains calibration and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
• Maintains laboratory supply and chemical inventory.
• Provides technical support to Lab, Production, and Engineering teams.
• Assembles reports and communicates observations to customers.
• Provides First Aid on off-hours as needed.
• Observes safety rules in plant and lab.
• Assists in training lab personnel and in continuous improvement efforts.
• Performs hazardous waste handling and routine inspections.
