Job summary

Precise Systems seeks an Analytical and Physical Chemist with 3-5 years of experience to determine the environmental fate of chemicals and assess hazards. The role emphasizes chemical analysis of toxic compounds and their extraction from environmental samples, with expertise in GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and LC-MS/MS.

In-person support is required, and the team collaborates across chemists, biologists, engineers, and material scientists to support defense programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead research programs as a technical team member to meet goals.
• Routinely perform instrumental analysis and controlled exposure experiments.
• Analyze samples from vapor, soil, water, and tissue for target compounds.
• Develop, revise, and maintain laboratory procedures and technical reports.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and communicate with customers and internal teams.
