Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Chemical Agent Analytical Chemist with 3–5 years of laboratory experience to support hazard assessment of toxic compounds. The role involves evaluating synthesis routes, properties, and stability, with emphasis on GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and LC-MS/MS analyses.

The successful candidate will collaborate with biologists, engineers, and chemists, prepare standards, and contribute to technical reports. A Secret clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of practical laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, and liquid chromatography.
• Experience with preparing analytical standards and instrument calibration.
• Meticulous documentation and SOP drafting.

Responsibilities

• Routinely perform instrumental analysis and controlled exposure experiments.
• Analyze samples from vapor, soil, water, and tissue for target compounds using GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS; include thermal desorption and pyrolysis.
• Prepare analytical standards for instrument calibration and verification.
• Determine physical properties and support method development and data interpretation.
• Maintain laboratory procedures, test plans, and records; assist with inventory and safety compliance.
