Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Scientist for the Analytical Technical Operations (ATO) team in Norwood, MA to lead operational method development and enable robust, scalable, high-throughput laboratory execution onsite.

You will translate development methods into standardized workflows, design studies for optimization and transfer, and provide LC/MS and separation science expertise to support performance and data integrity across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s/Bachelor with directly applicable industry experience in analytical method development
Experience translating methods into robust routine workflows
Hands-on LC/MS and chromatography experience
Strong ability to design and execute method studies and method transfer

Responsibilities

Lead operational method development focusing on robustness, throughput, automation compatibility, data integrity, and sustainability.
Translate development methods into standardized, scalable workflows for high-volume testing.
Design and execute method studies for optimization, performance, and transfer readiness.
Provide expertise in LC/MS and separation sciences for method execution and troubleshooting.
Develop automation-ready workflows compatible with liquid handlers and robotic platforms.
Drive method lifecycle management through monitoring and continuous improvement.
