Job summary

Statesville Analytical is seeking a Laboratory Tech to support chemistry and biology analyses in a modern NC facility. You will prepare samples, perform standard chemical analyses, calculate data, and maintain documentation to assist customers.

The position requires a BS in biology or chemistry with 2 years of lab experience, or a HS diploma with 4 years of lab support experience, plus computer proficiency and strong multitasking abilities. You will work in both lab and office settings.

Qualifications

• BS in biology, chemistry, or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or HS diploma or equivalent with 4 years of lab support experience.
• Computer proficiency in applications and systems related to the work.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Mobility to work in both laboratory and office settings, using standard office and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Calculate data.
• Support the analytical testing process by collecting and reviewing samples, preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting, and communicating results.
• Dispose of laboratory materials and samples following established guidelines.
• Review, complete, and process logs, documents, databases, and other related materials.
• Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and participating as an active work‑team member.
• Promote cooperation by demonstrating courteous behavior when interacting with customers and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
