Job summary

Open Systems Technologies is seeking an Analytical Technician to perform analytical testing supporting multiple divisions. The role requires hands-on work with analytical techniques (microscopy, spectroscopy, TGA/DSC, KF, EDS) and a solid chemistry foundation.

You will prepare samples, analyze data, and generate reports following SOPs. The ideal candidate has microscopy experience, familiarity with polymer materials, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience with analytical techniques and data interpretation.
• Ability to design methods to meet customer needs.
• Comfortable handling chemicals and maintaining lab safety.
• Experience with engineering polymers or plastics.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine analytical procedures and prepare reports for internal customers.
• Prepare samples, analyze data, and troubleshoot instruments.
• Maintain instrument calibration and perform minor repairs.
• Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with ISO/ASTM/VDA methods.
• Communicate results to global lab team and internal customers.
• Manage projects and balance competing priorities.
