Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct routine analyses supporting recycling, wastewater, and material production. You will operate ICP OES or MS instrumentation, prepare samples and standards, and maintain data records in a clean, safe lab environment.

The role requires an Associate degree in chemistry or related field, with 3 years of lab experience preferred. Coursework in analytical chemistry and polymers is a plus, along with proficiency in MS Office and JMP for data

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or closely related field required.
• BA or BS in chemistry or closely related field preferred.
• Coursework in analytical chemistry, polymers, and inorganic or solid-state chemistry preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in an analytical laboratory environment or academic equivalent experience required.
• Experience in polymer analysis, thermal analysis, and wet chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis under supervision using defined methods.
• Operate and maintain ICP OES and/or MS instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and data management.
• Ensure safe practices and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Support method development and continuous improvement projects.
