Job summary

SGS is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician in Brookings, SD to prepare samples for analysis, perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of prep instruments, and input technical information to support lab operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry experience, be able to maintain a Laboratory Notebook, follow SGS SOPs, and comply with HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Required).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Must comply with SGS HSE policies and ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
