Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Lab Technician for a chemical manufacturing facility in New York. The role involves analytical testing of compounds and raw materials, data reporting, and calibration of analytical equipment.

BS/BA in Chemistry or equivalent required; associate degree acceptable. Proficiency with MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred. Will work with LC/GC columns and support development and investigation of off-spec materials.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or equivalent preferred; Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Preform tests on samples of raw materials and finished product using a full range of analytical equipment.
• Record data and summarize it to be presented to the proper personnel.
• Prepare and install LC and GC columns.
• Conduct special testing and analysis in conjunction with new product development, trouble-shooting of complaint samples and investigation/analysis of off-spec products and raw materials
• Collect, record, analyze and maintain environmental and industrial hygiene samples.
