Job summary

Doctor’s Data, Inc. in St. Charles, IL, is seeking a Technical Chemistry Scientist to support the development and optimization of testing methods for metabolic health in our patient population.

The role involves hands-on analytical laboratory work with sophisticated instrumentation. You will operate LC-MS, HPLC, and GC, contribute to method development, perform sample prep, analyze data, and maintain accurate records while following safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related scientific field.
• 3–5 years of analytical chemistry experience.
• Experience with chromatographic techniques and analytical instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of laboratory software; ChemStation and MassHunter preferred.
• Strong analytical, technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chromatographic instrumentation (LC-MS, HPLC, GC).
• Support analytical research, method development, and method optimization.
• Perform sample preparation and operate instrumentation per established procedures.
• Analyze, review, and interpret laboratory data for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Assist with identifying and resolving analytical or instrumentation issues.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Collaborate with scientific and laboratory team members to support research and testing initiatives.
• Follow applicable laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
