Job summary

Certified Group in Melville, NY, is seeking a laboratory technician to assist in chemical testing of food products, ingredients, and other matrices. Primary duties include solution preparation, sample homogenization, and analysis using balance, oven, furnace, and extractors.

You will apply standard lab techniques, maintain records, and ensure safe, efficient operations while supporting FSNS teams; shift Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain chemical solutions.
• Apply standard laboratory techniques in daily workload.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
• Maintain laboratory conditions, equipment, and records throughout procedures.
