Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a motivated summer intern with experience in analytical chemistry to develop new analytical methods for late-stage and commercial small-molecule assets. The role focuses on HPLC, NIR/Raman, MS, and peptide mapping, with hands-on instrument setup and data analysis.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in analytical chemistry and data analysis, and the internship offers exposure to modern instruments and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in university pursuing a BS in chemistry or related field.
• Enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028.
• Hands-on wet lab experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Developing novel analytical methods and evaluating method accuracy, precision, sensitivity and robustness.
• Interpreting mass spectral data and building calibration models as appropriate.
• Supporting development of platform methods for peptide mapping and MS/MS based quantitative analysis.
