Job summary

Solomon Page is partnering with a Clark, NJ personal care manufacturer to hire a Chemist for an onsite, six-month contract. The role centers on analyzing samples and raw materials using chromatographic and spectroscopic methods.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Chemistry with 1–3 years in cosmetics, hands-on HPLC/GC experience, and clear written and verbal communication for reporting results to stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 1–3 years of professional experience.
• Working knowledge of pH, TLC, Auto-titrators, FT-IR, Karl Fisher, viscosity and other wet chemistry analyses.
• HPLC and GC experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines in a diverse environment.
• Independent work as well as collaboration in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of samples and raw materials using chromatographic, spectroscopic, wet chemistry and other analytical techniques.
• Apply established test methods to complete analytical testing.
• Collect, process and interpret results and prepare reports for stakeholders.
