Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Geismar, LA is seeking an Analytical Chemist on 2nd shift to perform quality control testing and support calibration and analytical certification processes. You will use GC to analyze complex gas standards and support production with technical insights.

You will maintain QA records, ensure GMP compliance, and assist in plant validation and FDA paperwork. The role requires independence, teamwork, and physical capability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (emphasis on chemistry and/or math) or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Experience with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and as part of a team.
• Must be able and willing to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on products per established GMP and SOPs.
• Perform quality control testing on raw materials per GMP and SOPs.
• Produce and maintain calibration records.
• Maintain analytical equipment.
• Determine pass/fail status of production samples submitted to lab.
• Provide technical support to production and customer service as needed.
• Carry out all PM duties assigned.
• Compile, organize and maintain test data records.
• Produce accurate analytical certifications.
• Use Gas Chromatography to analyze and certify complex liquid and gas calibration standards.
• Perform analysis on medical gases per SOPs and GMPs.
• Support plant validation team with analytical duties.
• Complete and maintain FDA medical gas paperwork.
