Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an Assoc Analytical Chemist to partner with Operations in Rock Hill, SC. You will support laboratory analysis, interpret results, and assist in process improvements under the Lab Manager’s supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing samples, operating analytical instruments, and contributing to data analysis and quality control. Onsite work, with safety and regulatory adherence, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis following established protocols.
• Operate analytical instruments (chromatographs, spectrometers, mass spec, etc.) and ensure proper calibration.
• Conduct experiments to analyze chemical composition and record data accurately.
• Assist in data analysis using statistical methods and software.
• Support quality control procedures and follow safety protocols.
