Job summary

Gunnison Copper seeks an Analytical Chemist at Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project in SE Arizona. You will perform routine analytical tests on mining materials, R&D samples, and finished products, and report results with basic data interpretation.

Under the Laboratory Manager, you will train assay technicians, calibrate equipment, and maintain QA/QC controls while adhering to MSHA safety policies and maintaining a clean lab environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong foundation in chemistry and lab fundamentals.
• Proficiency with basic lab equipment and safety protocols.
• Experience or familiarity with MS Office is required.
• Physics/chemistry instrumentation knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis for samples from mine, leach, plant and prep.
• Train assay technicians in lab duties and safety.
• Prepare reagents and maintain QA/QC controls for assays.
• Operate and calibrate lab equipment and report results daily.
• Adhere to MSHA policies and maintain clean, safe work area.
