Job summary

Pfizer Inc in Pearl River, NY is seeking an Analytical Chemist III for a 6-month on-site contract. The role focuses on qualitative and quantitative analysis to support research, product development, and quality control, using HPLC, FTIR, GC, UV-Vis, titration, and GLP-compliant methods.

You will develop, validate, and document analytical methods for raw materials through finished products, interpret data, and generate technical reports while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance (FDA/EPA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s or PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• 5–7 years of experience in an analytical laboratory setting, preferably in pharmaceuticals, environmental science, or manufacturing.
• Experience with GLP and regulatory expectations (FDA/EPA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and titration.
• Develop, validate, and document analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Interpret data, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, GLP, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA); troubleshoot instrumentation to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA/QC, and manufacturing.
