Job summary

You will operate and maintain instrumentation, document QA/QC data, mentor entry-level staff, and participate in audits and process improvements while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or related technical field.
• 2–4 years of laboratory experience in a technical or analytical environment.
• Experience operating laboratory instruments and interpreting basic data sets.
• Strong understanding of lab procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory methods (e.g., NIOSH, ASTM, EPA).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intermediate-level sample preparation and analysis using standard methods (USP, FCC, EPA, ASTM, NIOSH).
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Analyze and interpret data; report findings with accuracy and compliance.
• Identify deviations and escalate instrumentation issues as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting routine equipment malfunctions or anomalies.
• Maintain accurate documentation per SOPs and QA/QC requirements.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and contribute to safe practices.
• Mentor and guide entry-level staff; participate in audits and quality reviews.
• Makes routine technical decisions within standard procedures.
