Job summary

Quaker Houghton seeks a chemistry professional to perform ICP-OES/ICP-MS, ion chromatography, wet chemistry and corrosion testing of metal substrates and formulations, generating high-accuracy data and evaluating corrosion performance in collaboration with R&D and manufacturing.

Responsibilities include method development, data interpretation, instrument maintenance, and cross-functional support, with emphasis on quality and ISO/GLP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field with hands-on lab experience.
• 2–7 years of experience with ICP-OES/ICP-MS, IC, wet chemistry, and corrosion testing.
• Strong data interpretation skills and ability to communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• ICP Analysis — Perform elemental analysis with calibration, method optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Ion Chromatography — Conduct anion/cation analysis to support formulation control.
• Wet Chemistry — Execute titrations, acid/base analysis, and gravimetric tests.
• Corrosion Testing — Weight-loss testing, coupon exposure, electrochemical methods, and surface characterization.
• Sample Preparation — Digest, dilute, filter, and extract per SOPs.
• Data Interpretation — Analyze results, identify trends, and provide technical conclusions.
• Method Development — Develop and refine analytical and corrosion testing methods.
• Quality & Compliance — Maintain documentation and ISO/GLP alignment.
• Cross-Functional Support — Assist R&D, manufacturing, and customer teams with insights.
• Instrument Maintenance — Perform routine maintenance and coordinate service.
• SEM/EDS — Operate, capture images, and interpret findings.
