Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks an Associate Chemist to join the Core Services Team in the Thermal & Specialty Solutions (TSS) business at the Newark, DE location. The role focuses on analytical testing of refrigerant molecules and blends, collaborating with Product, Technical Service, and Process groups to support key programs.

You will operate high-hazard experiments, handle compressed gas cylinders, and perform QC analyses (GC/GC-MS, IC, FT-IR), while maintaining documentation and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of analytical methods and data analysis.
• Ability to read and understand complex SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-hazard processes for sealed tube experiments.
• Safely handle compressed gas cylinders.
• Perform in-lab analytical testing (GC/MS, IC, titration, FT-IR).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Independently plan and conduct experiments and document results.
