Job summary

Pace is seeking an Analytical Chemist in Indianapolis to support lab testing needs with relevant experience. The role requires handling routine analyses, documenting results, and collaborating with the team to ensure data integrity.

You will work Monday–Friday with 8:00AM–5:00PM hours. Compensation is $22.00–$24.00 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to various projects and maintain a safe lab environment.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Chemistry or related science field with 0-3 years experience.
  • Microsoft Excel Proficient.
  • Independent and flexible/adaptable individual to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Preferred: Masters Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar.
  • Experience with Gel Electrophoresis
  • Experience with Cloning
  • Experience with Aseptic Technique
  • Experience with HPLC
  • Experience with ELISA method development and techniques
  • Experience with PCR
  • Mammalian Cell Culture experience
  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment would be beneficial
  • Experience with electronic notebook upkeep

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and conducts routine analyses following approved methods and SOPs.
  • Documents work and maintains study records.
  • Troubleshoots basic lab equipment and software.
  • Participates in project meetings and communicates findings.
  • Manages daily workload and multiple assignments.
  • Maintains a safe, clean laboratory environment.
  • Recognizes deviations and informs lab lead for corrective actions.
  • Identifies issues and implements solutions with guidance.

Overview

Seeking an Analytical Chemist to support our client's lab testing needs with some relevant laboratory experience.

Compensation: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Organizes and conducts routine analyses independently and in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines
  • Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records
  • Independently able to use and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks, while learning to perform routine and non-routine maintenance
  • Provides input and participates in project meetings
  • Performs assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively completes multiple assignments.
  • Contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
  • Maintains a safe and clean laboratory work environment
  • Understands data generated, and history of methods.
  • Recognizes deviations from normal results and inform lab lead and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data and participates in corrective action of problems.
  • Identifies problems, determines appropriate actions, and implements solutions with support or independently as appropriate.
  • Able to adapt to new procedures or particular needs as directed.
  • Able to identify critical steps in an assay.
  • Knowledge of departmental procedures and policies
  • Viewed as a resource within their team
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
