Global Chemicals Corporation is an industry leader in sourcing, processing, manufacturing, packaging, and wholesale distribution of high-quality food and pharmaceutical ingredients, as well as custom manufacturing services. Our company specializes in natural and synthetic ingredients for Food and Beverage, Cosmetic and Personal Care, Nutritional and Pharmaceutical, and Industrial Applications. We are developing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Excipients, carriers, fillers, additives, preservatives, and colorants for pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmacies, serving human and animal health sectors worldwide.

To support our growth, we are seeking experienced account executives and talented, quick-learning self-starters to join the food and pharmaceutical industries. The current opening is for a Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance at our East Brunswick, New Jersey facility. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

*Market Level Salary Plus Performance Bonus for candidates with experience and a Bachelor’s in Organic Chemistry or related field (Chemistry or Food Science).*
General Description:

The responsibilities involve sampling, testing, and analyzing chemicals and ingredients using USP, NF, FCC, and other approved methods, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, and local agencies. The role includes leading and training team members, assisting in production planning, regulatory compliance, and implementing continuous improvement practices such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Training and certification costs will be covered by the company, with certifications provided upon successful completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
Analytical Chemistry:
  • Conduct analysis for assay, impurities, dissolution, content uniformity, moisture, and other tests, following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and review analytical data for reliability.
  • Assist in method development, SOP updates, and lab efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in R&D projects related to formulation and process development.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, prepare CAPA reports, and manage supplier audits.
  • Lead EHS compliance efforts, manage records, and develop safety programs and training materials.
Sourcing:
  • Build vendor relationships, gather product data, and coordinate testing and sampling.
  • Assist in procurement, negotiate terms, monitor vendor performance, and manage supply chain issues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Pharmaceutical Science; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience with analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, FTIR, etc.
  • 3-5 years in analytical chemistry, quality control, or regulatory affairs in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in English, strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%) and work flexible hours as needed.
