Flexsys has an immediate opening for an analytical chemist in the Akron corporate headquarters. This position will support our business and innovation platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in multiple analytical techniques. The candidate needs to be an innovative and creative problem solver with strong scientific convictions who is willing to take risks. This role will report to the Characterization group leader.

Job Responsibilities
· Employ the latest analytical technology and sound analytical principles to solve major technical problems
· Make data driven decisions to ensure project success
· Evaluate and develop new laboratory capabilities and lead efforts to implement them
· Collaborate with other scientists and technicians to provide key analytical data for new products and process development
· Utilize multiple analytical techniques for the characterization and performance evaluation of novel organic molecules
· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
· Review and write test methods and technical reports
