Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a hands-on analytical chemist for on-site work at our Moab, UT facility to develop and troubleshoot analytical methods across multiple lab sites.

You will implement new instrumentation (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption), validate workflows, and train staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data reliability and instrumentation performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Hands-on experience with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, or Atomic Absorption.
• Strong understanding of analytical techniques, sample prep, data interpretation.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with instrumentation components.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to train and support internal teams across sites.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize analytical methodologies across multiple lab sites.
• Troubleshoot data quality and method performance issues.
• Lead and support implementation of new instrumentation (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption).
• Develop, validate, and standardize analytical methods and workflows.
• Train laboratory personnel on instrumentation and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve analytics and data reliability.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to systems.
• Maintain documentation for methods, SOPs, and guidance.
