Job summary

Mariana Minerals in Moab, Utah is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team, performing precise sample preparation and routine analytical testing in a safety-first environment. Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques (pipetting, titration, acid digestion).
  • Familiarity with the principles of analytical instrumentation.
  • Hands-on exposure to Titration, Flame AA, ICP-OES/MS, or XRF is desirable.
  • Knowledge of EPA, ISO, or GLP/GMP standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and collaborative teamwork; willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all SOPs, chemical hygiene plans, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lab Maintenance: maintain a clean and organized workspace; manage chemical inventory and waste disposal according to regulatory standards.
  • Sample Preparation: precise preparation of sample matrices, including weighing, digestion, dilution, and filtration with zero cross-contamination.
  • Instrument Operation: assist in operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of analytical equipment.
  • Data Management: record experimental observations and raw data into LIMS or lab notebooks.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team. This senior-level role focuses on high-quality sample preparation and the execution of routine analytical testing. The ideal candidate is a disciplined scientist who prioritizes laboratory safety, is interested in hands-on analytical jobs, and possesses a foundational understanding of spectroscopic instrumentation and other chemical analysis equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all SOPs, chemical hygiene plans, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Lab Maintenance: willing to maintain a clean and organized workspace; manage chemical inventory and waste disposal according to regulatory standards.
