Job Summary

Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of analytic notebooks used by analysts and mission users, combining data analysis, software development, and customer support in large-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance analytic notebooks supporting mission requirements.
  • Build data analysis and processing capabilities using Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Work with large and complex datasets to support analytical use cases.
  • Serve as a first line of support for notebook users by troubleshooting technical and data-related issues.
  • Work directly with users to understand requirements, identify problems, and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Assist users with notebook functionality, data access, query development, and analytic workflows.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and apply data science techniques where appropriate.
  • Develop reusable code, functions, and analytic components to improve notebook efficiency and usability.
  • Troubleshoot notebook performance, data processing, integration, and application issues.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for developed notebooks, processes, data sources, and user workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing analytic tools and automate manual or repetitive processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience developing analytic notebooks using Python and Jupyter or similar notebook environments.

  • Background in data analytics, data science, software development, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience documenting technical solutions, code, processes, and user guidance.
  • Ability to translate user requirements and analytic challenges into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting analysts or operational users in a customer-facing technical environment.
  • Experience working with financial, transactional, investigative, or other large-scale datasets.
  • Familiarity with entity resolution, data matching, or pattern analysis.
  • Experience supporting federal government environments is a plus.
