Job summary

NovAtel America Inc. is seeking an analytical Analyst, Strategy, M&A and ESG to drive divisional initiatives, support portfolio prioritization, and contribute to medium-term financial planning.

You will create executive-ready presentations and dashboards, collaborate with Finance, R&D, and sustainability teams, and help coordinate post-merger integration and ESG reporting, with remote work options within the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, finance, business analysis, program management, or ESG and sustainability analytics.
  • Strong financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Copilot, data analysis, and written communication skills.
  • Experience structuring ambiguous problems, analyzing quantitative and qualitative information, and translating findings into clear recommendations and executive-ready materials.
  • Experience managing multiple cross-functional workstreams, deadlines, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables in parallel.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. Travel is expected to be limited and project-dependent.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategy development and reporting through research, analysis, coordination of division inputs, and synthesis of findings.
  • Support the biannual Medium-Term Financial Planning process by coordinating inputs, maintaining planning templates, analyzing outputs, and preparing executive-ready summaries.
  • Develop presentations, dashboards, briefing materials, and decision support documents for the VP, Strategy and M&A and executive leadership.
  • Monitor market, technology, customer, and competitive developments across autonomous solutions verticals, including mining, agriculture, positioning, and aerospace and defense.
  • Support divisional resource allocation and portfolio prioritization, including R&D investment analysis, M&A budget tracking, business case comparison, and trade-off analysis across strategic priorities.
  • Maintaining consistent portfolio evaluation frameworks that clearly document assumptions, financials, risks, strategic fit, and value creation opportunities.
  • Coordinating cross-functional workstreams by clarifying deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and follow-up actions.
  • Supporting M&A pipeline development, target screening, market mapping, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, and preparation of investment committee or board materials.
  • Managing diligence trackers, coordinating functional inputs, monitoring timelines, identifying open issues, and supporting follow-up with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Supporting post-merger integration and synergy follow-up through value creation plans, integration dashboards, issue escalation, and standardized tools and reporting routines.
  • Collecting, validating, and analyzing sustainability data, including avoided emissions, product sustainability impact, carbon reduction opportunities, ESG benchmarking, and external disclosure support.
  • Coordinating with divisional and corporate sustainability stakeholders to integrate ESG considerations into strategy, portfolio, and transformation discussions.

Overview

Autonomous Solutions is looking for an analytical and collaborative Analyst, Strategy, M&A and ESG to support divisional strategic initiatives, M&A activities, portfolio prioritization, medium-term financial planning, transformation programs, and ESG reporting and analysis.

In this position, you will independently manage analytical and project-based workstreams, synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information, and contribute directly to executive‑ready presentations, dashboards, briefing materials, and decision support documents.

While part of the Strategy and M&A team, you will work closely with divisional Strategy, M&A, R&D, Finance, and sustainability stakeholders. You will report to the VP, Strategy and M&A and provide hands‑on project management and analytical support across multiple functions.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position can be based remotely within the USA.

Responsibilities

As our Analyst, Strategy, M&A and ESG, you would be responsible for:

  • Supporting business area strategy development and reporting through research, analysis, coordination of division inputs, and synthesis of findings.

Compensation & Benefits

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division provides the following compensation range and a general description of other compensation and benefits. This compensation range is based on a full‑time schedule. The Company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range or offer other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state or federal law. Our benefits and bonus plans are reviewed annually and are subject to change at the company's discretion.

Hiring Salary Range: $77,800 - 97,300 per annum

Bonus Eligibility: We offer a company profit share and individual incentive‑based bonus programs.
