Job summary

Keller Augusta in Bethesda, MD seeks an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Asset Management to guide asset strategy and optimize value through financial analysis and modeling across the full investment lifecycle, including acquisitions, due diligence, capital projects, and financing.

You will collaborate with development, investments, capital markets, leasing, accounting, and property management teams to maximize asset value, support decision-making, and present insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, financial analysis, consulting, real estate investments, asset management, acquisitions, or a related quantitative field.
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel and data analytics skills required.
• Experience with cash flow modeling, sensitivity analysis, and manipulating large or complex datasets.
• Ability to turn analysis into clear summaries, presentations, and actionable insights.
• Real estate and/or finance experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates from consulting or other analytical, numbers-driven fields will be considered.
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Yardi and Argus experience is strongly preferred.
• Conscientious, self-directed, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
• Eligible for bonus

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and underwriting on leasing strategies, capital projects, and other projects and portfolio level ROI opportunities.
• Build and update cash flow valuation models in Argus and Excel.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants to refine real estate tax appeal strategies.
• Lead the bi-annual roll-up process by creating and refining asset-specific strategic business plans and budgets.
• Contribute to the evaluation and due diligence for potential acquisitions and dispositions.
• Analyze monthly financial statements to maintain accuracy, correct inconsistencies, and assess property performance relative to market trends.
• Maintain monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables for lenders, partners, and senior executives while ensuring full compliance with agreement terms.
• Work with internal and external legal partners on drafting and reviewing legal agreements, asset management oversight of construction project implementation, and setting internal expectations.
• Prepare additional analyses as needed to assist the asset management and leasing teams.
• Support senior team members in the preparation of Investment Committee memoranda.

Position Overview:

The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Asset Management will play an integral role in guiding asset strategy and optimizing portfolio value through the development, maintenance, and presentation of financial analysis and modeling. This role will contribute to a high-performing team focused on advancing value creation throughout the entire investment lifecycle including acquisition due diligence, strategic business plan implementation, financing, capital project execution, and coordination with capital partners. As a member of the Asset Management Team, the Senior Analyst will collaborate with the development, investments, capital markets, commercial leasing, accounting, and property management teams, as well as the firm’s senior management. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of residential, retail, and commercial assets and support all related decision making aimed at maximizing asset value and driving portfolio strategy.
