Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago is seeking an Asset Management Analyst to maximize profitability of operating wind, solar, storage, or thermal assets. You will assist with annual budgets, pro‑forma reviews, and drafting investor reports, supporting cash flow forecasting and ad‑hoc analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a quantitative discipline with finance or accounting coursework, at least one year of experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent analytical and collaborative abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline with coursework in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum one year of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, logical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Some travel required.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing annual budgets and perform periodic variance analyses.
• Review pro‑forma financial models for new generation assets.
• Draft reports on project performance for investors and lenders.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and management.
• Perform financial analyses of aftermarket improvements.
• Develop other ad‑hoc analyses as needed.
• Collaborate with the operations engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance.
• Coordinate with project O&M staff on major component repair and replacement.
• Coordinate with energy marketing to register and commission new assets and find revenue improvement or risk mitigation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project agreements.

Position Overview

The Asset Management Analyst will assist with a wide range of activities all directed toward the same goal: maximizing the profitability of Invenergy’s operating wind, solar, storage, or thermal assets.

Responsibilities

Finance

• Assist in developing annual budgets for the projects and perform periodic variance analyses
• Provide input and review of the pro‑forma financial models for new generation assets
• Draft reports on project performance for investors and lenders
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and management
• Perform financial analyses of aftermarket improvements
• Develop other ad‑hoc analyses as needed

Operations

• Collaborate with the operations engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance
• Coordinate with project O&M staff on other operational items, including major component repair and replacement
• Coordinate with energy marketing to register and commission new assets and find revenue improvement or risk mitigation opportunities
• Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and project agreements

• Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and project agreements, including:
• Operating Agreements
• Credit Agreements
• Operations and Maintenance Agreements
• Power Purchase Agreements

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Economics) and coursework in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum one year of job experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, logical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Some travel required.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the energy industry is beneficial but not required.
• Experience with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR, DCF models) preferred.

Base Pay

$70,000.00 – $82,000.00 USD Annual

Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
