Macquarie Capital Principal Finance, based in New York, seeks an Analyst for the US Real Estate Principal Finance team to screen investment opportunities, underwrite, and prepare detailed financial analyses. The role includes portfolio asset management and contributing to internal reporting and strategic decisions.

You will work with senior team members on a variety of transactions in a small, dynamic group, gaining exposure to debt, equity, and real estate strategies in a flexible investment

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in real estate, finance, investment banking or asset management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Argus is a plus.
• Proficient in / willing to adopt AI tools.
• Strong interest in real estate debt and private equity.
• Proficient in financial modeling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to manage competing workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Macquarie Capital Principal Finance is the global balance sheet investing arm of Macquarie Capital, with a current portfolio of $20 billion+ across private credit, private equity, and real estate strategies. This New York based role, part of a broader global real estate business with offices in London and Sydney, is dedicated to the US Real Estate Principal Finance team which invests across a variety of structures and asset classes in US markets. Operating under a flexible investment mandate, the business invests in senior debt, subordinate debt, preferred equity, and select joint venture equity opportunities, with the ability to pivot as market conditions evolve. What role will you play?

As an Analyst on the US Real Estate Principal Finance team, you will be responsible for screening investment opportunities, underwriting and preparing detailed financial analyses, evaluating market data, and distilling information into investment memoranda. In addition, you will be responsible for portfolio asset management, including preparation of internal reporting and influencing business plan decisions for the equity portfolio. The team is a small, nimble group, providing the opportunity to work directly with senior-level members on a variety of transactions.

Salary range for this position: $110,000 - $150,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
