Job summary

NScale is seeking an Analyst to support its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure teams, handling topics from power supply agreements to market strategy and utility development. This role is across East and West regions, with specifics confirmed at hire.

You will conduct market research, build financial models, and prepare presentations to support strategic decisions. Ideal candidates have a engineering/finance/economics background, 1–3+ years in energy analytics, and strong Excel/data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience in energy analysis, utility engineering, or a related analytical role.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in energy markets, utilities, or data center industries.
• Familiarity with power supply agreements, market strategy, or utility development processes.
• Exposure to LCOE modeling or power cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on power supply options, energy market conditions, or utility development topics, depending on the team's focus.
• Prepare data, reports, and presentations supporting negotiations, market strategy, or utility development decision-making.
• Support due diligence for site selection based on power supply, market, or utility capacity considerations.
• Track and maintain data relevant to the team's function.
• Support cross-functional coordination with Finance, Legal, and Development as needed.
• Develop financial models and analytics supporting energy sourcing and procurement decisions.
• Support tariff interpretation, rate calculations, and power cost analysis as relevant to the team.
• Monitor energy market regulations and policy developments relevant to project cost and capacity.

About the Role
