Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks an Analyst, Middle Office to support Commodity Systems including ETRM, price repository, and commercial applications in Houston. The role requires building ad hoc reports, supporting daily positions, and enhancing data controls across back-office interfaces.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in commodity trading, strong Excel, SQL/PostgreSQL skills, and experience with programming languages. Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in Commodity/Energy Trading domain with emphasis in Natural Gas and LNG trading.
• 1+ years experience designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces.
• Excellent MS Excel skills including macros/VBA, PivotTables, formulas, and charts.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, VBA and other programming languages.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL is required.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
• Strong Object-Oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; self-motivated and independent.

Responsibilities

• Work with team to produce high-quality deliverables for business needs.
• Develop ad hoc reports to manage position, risk, control and security data information, audit reports.
• Provide reports for Back office (Accounting & Settlement).
• Assess ETRM and related systems architecture and work with technical staff on solutions and improvements.
• Daily support and change management; regression testing.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Summary

We are seeking an Analyst, Middle Office Commodity Solutions to support our Commodity Systems including the ETRM, Price Repository, Commercial Applications and related interfaces.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with team members to produce high quality deliverables for business needs.
• Develop ad hoc reports as required by business to manage position, risk, provide control and security data information, audit reports.
• Provide reports for Back office (Accounting & Settlement).
• Assess the ETRM and related systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to provide solutions and process improvement.
• Daily Support:
• Change Management and Regression testing:
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required experience

• 1+ years of experience in Commodity/Energy Trading Business domain with emphasis in Natural Gas and LNG trading.
• 1+ years experience in designing, coding, configuring, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces.
• Excellent MS Excel skills including task automation using macros and VBA, creating dynamic reports with PivotTables, building formulas, building charts and graphs.
• Experience working with Java, JavaScript, VBA and other programing languages.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL is required.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
• Strong Object-Oriented, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.Must be self‑motivated, independent, and resourceful.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with an ETRM/ or CTRM system preferred.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related IT field.
