Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Lead Cost Analyst in Houston, TX, with travel to Arlington, VA and other Gulf Coast sites. The role oversees project budgets, performs variance analysis, and ensures cost discipline across complex LNG projects.

You will communicate with Project and Executive Management to support timely decisions and risk mitigation. The position requires 8+ years in major Oil & Gas projects, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in EcoSys, Power BI, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in major Oil & Gas Engineering and Construction projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of transportation, inventory management, freight cost structures, and supply chain logistics.
• Experience with LNG Liquefaction or Combined Cycle Power Generation projects preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines, and adjust as priority changes occur.
• Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Have advanced computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, experience with EcoSys and Power BI preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

• Report on project status, performance, constraints and issues to Senior and Executive Management.
• Auditing of freight invoices to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, including import/export regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

We are seeking a Lead Cost Analyst to be based in Houston, TX with some travel to Arlington, VA, Cameron, LA and New Orleans, LA.

Summary

The Lead Cost Analyst will provide oversight to project logistics activities and is responsible for achieving safe, cost effective, timely and contractually compliant project results. The role will also require effective communication to Project and Executive Management for timely decision making and incorporation of stake holder input. The Lead Cost Analyst will report to the Manager of Project Controls.
