• Independently administer the urban Cleanup Loans and Environmental Assistance to Neighborhoods (CLEAN) Loan Program, Investigating Site Contamination Program (ISCP), and Superfund grants such as Multi-Site Cooperative Agreement (MSCA), Preliminary Assessment/Site Inspection (PA/SI), and site-specific Superfund grants, the Department of Energy’s Laboratory for Energy-Related Health Research (LEHR) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) grants and state-funded grants, track and administer state-level grants, such as Site Cleanup Subaccount Program (SCAP) and Proposition 1 (Prop 1) grant expenditure and reimbursement activities
• Coordinate special terms and conditions analysis that federal and state administration staff propose and make recommendations to management
• Monitor grant expenditures and projects to avoid overspending
• Prepare and coordinate federal quarterly and annual reports for various federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the Department of Energy (DOE), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
• Prepare Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Superfund grant and Department of Energy Grant application packages
• Submit EPA grant packages via Grants.gov database and monitors EPA Grants mailbox

Desirable Qualifications We Look For

• Experienced analyst with analytical thought process desired
• Ability to research, analyze, and interpret data to inform sound recommendations
• Background administering federal and/or state grants or loans
• Ability to track and report expenditures, monitor budget/grant spending, and resolve funding discrepancies
• Experience in legislation analysis, rulemaking, or regulatory compliance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
