Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an Email Marketing Analyst to optimize our email program and drive revenue through data-driven campaigns.

You will develop and execute the email circulation plan, analyze performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, flawless sends. You should have marketing experience, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in Digital, Email or E-Commerce Marketing.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong interest in Email.
  • Ability to lead projects proactively.
  • Analytical problem-solver with insatiable curiosity.
  • Ability to see trends and extract actionable insights from data to drive results.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

  • Execute email deployments from setup through launch, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Weekly and ad-hoc email reporting, including engagement metrics, trends, test results, campaign performance, and creative performance.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain the daily email circulation plan, updating weekly trigger performance.
  • Test links, validate content, confirm audience details, and ensure all emails meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Prepare seasonal/monthly performance recaps.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional groups.
  • Share best practices and test results with peers across Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands.
  • Analyze competitive marketplace and follow Marketing trends.

About the Team

You will be part of the Pottery Barn Kids Customer Relationship Marketing team responsible for managing and optimizing the Email channel to maximize sales. Our job is also to ensure we are innovating and executing marketing campaigns across programs and channels that drive new customer acquisition as well as increased mindshare and wallet share with our existing customer base.

About the Role

As an Email Marketing Analyst, you will focus on driving sales by helping optimize the email program. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the email circulation plan, analyzing performance to identify trends and opportunities, and working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure timely and flawless email sends. A successful candidate should have experience in marketing and possess strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. You must have the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing multi-channel retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Execute email deployments from setup through launch, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with business priorities.

  • Analyze competitive marketplace and follow Marketing trends.
Criteria
  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in Digital, Email or E-Commerce Marketing
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong interest in Email
  • Ability to lead projects proactively
  • Analytical problem-solver with insatiable curiosity
  • The ability to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables)

  • Ability to build effective relationships within the team and with cross functional partners & vendors
  • Experience with a web analytics system is a plus
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco, California office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is$71,000 - $75,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
