Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking an IT professional to support Epic Conversion projects and other healthcare IT initiatives.

You will identify optimal technical solutions, prepare work plans for system upgrades, configure environments, and evaluate workflows to ensure feasibility and timely delivery. Requires 4 years of information services or healthcare IT experience, 1 year EHR build/implementation, and EPIC certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year EHR application build, implementation and support experience.
• 4 years Progressive experience in information services or combination of information Services and direct Health Care experience.
• Small to medium-scale implementation/upgrades.
• Test Plan development.
• Information Technology Experience and/or Healthcare Operations Experience.
• Project Management of Large Initiatives.
• Implementation/Upgrade Support.
• Applications Planning, Development and Implementation.
• Technical Collaboration (e.g. Interfaces, Hardware and Reporting).
• EPIC Certification - Epic Systems Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the business in identifying optimal technical solutions for issues and processes, ensuring seamless integration with other business and technology systems.
• Prepares business work plans to support analysis and the testing of system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements.
• Provides support for configuring, implementing, and maintaining technical requirements across development, staging, and production environments.
• Evaluates work processes, assesses the feasibility of small to medium project requests, and resolves operational issues.
• Develops clear, concise specifications and accompanying documentation as assigned or as needed.
• Plans, develops, and executes comprehensive test scenarios to ensure thorough validation.
• Assists in developing technology standards.
• Assist in estimating resources required for task completion.
• Completes assigned tasks by the due date or documents any variances.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
