Job summary

Greystone in Warrenton, VA is seeking an Analyst for Custodial Accounting to support bank reconciliations and cash management. This in-person role requires working up to five days a week at our Warrenton office with collaboration across the finance team.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of accounting or banking operations experience, proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics BC and Excel, and an associate degree or higher in accounting or business management.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in accounting or banking operations.
• Associates degree or higher in accounting or business management preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar general ledger accounting package.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and ledgers utilizing Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC).
• Utilize on-line banking websites to obtain balance reports and initiate wire transfers and ACH transactions.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Prepare and analyze reports.
• Ensure bank accounts are opened and closed as required and that custodial bank documents are prepared and filed in compliance with investor and agency guidelines.
• Update documented procedures.
• Provide administrative support including monitoring check logs, mailing and scanning documents.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank accounts and ledgers utilizing Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC).
• Utilize on-line banking websites to obtain balance reports and initiate wire, transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
• Prepare and analyze reports.
• Ensure bank accounts are opened and closed as required and that custodial bank documents are prepared and filed in compliance with investor and agency guidelines.

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Minimum two years’ experience in accounting or banking operations.
• Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or business management preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar general ledger accounting package.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter, dedicated and professional.
• Excellent communication skills.
