Job summary

A prominent real estate firm based in Miami is seeking an entry-level finance professional to support financial analyses and assist Asset Management. Responsibilities include evaluating borrower financials, monitoring market conditions, and re-underwriting loans to evaluate investment performance. Ideal candidates should have 1-2+ years experience in real estate finance. A comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, a 401(k), and PTO is offered. The position is full-time and requires in-office attendance 4-5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience within real estate financial analysis, financial modeling, risk analysis, underwriting, asset management and/or valuations.
• Commercial real estate asset/transactional experience required, multifamily exposure is a plus.

• Support Asset Manager in tracking borrower financials including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Monitor property market conditions and track comparable properties through research.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial analyses of projects’ performance.
• Re-underwrite loans quarterly as part of evaluation of transitional real estate loans.
• Monitor maturity dates and assist in the review of financial performance of investments.

Base Pay Range

$95,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

This role will join a well-established REIT in their Miami office (4-5 days per week).

Responsibilities

• Support Asset Manager in the collection, tracking, and spreading borrower financials, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, bank statements, rent rolls, AP/AR aging schedules, etc
• Ongoing monitoring of property market conditions, including tracking of market performance trends and projections, and comparable properties through market research
• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial analyses to evaluate projects’ performance and discuss with borrowers any substantial variances and non-compliance with loan covenants
• Re-underwrite loans quarterly as part of on-going evaluation of the transitional commercial real estate loans and viability of exit strategy
• Monitor maturity dates, extensions, potential payoffs, and any needed loan amendments or modifications
• Assist in the review of the financial performance of investments, including tenancy changes and compliance with various loan covenants and warehouse agreements
