ConocoPhillips in Houston, TX seeks a counterparty due diligence professional to perform KYC reviews of Commercial and Marine counterparties and support risk-based screening across a global energy business.
The role emphasizes onboarding, beneficial ownership reviews, and escalation of red flags, with exposure to sanctions and trade monitoring. A detail-oriented, trained, and communicative mindset is essential.
Welcome to ConocoPhillips, where innovation and excellence create a platform for opportunity and growth. Come realize your full potential here.
We are one of the world's largest independent exploration and production companies, based on proved reserves and production of liquids and natural gas. With operations and activities in 13 countries, we explore for, develop, and produce crude oil and natural gas globally. We are challenged with an important job to safely find and deliver energy to the world. Our employees are critical to our success, and with them we power civilization.
We're grounded by our SPIRIT Values - safety, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation, and teamwork. These values position us to deliver strong performance in a dynamic business - but not at all costs. We believe it's not just what we do - it's how we do it - that sets us apart.
To deliver superior performance, we create an environment that respects the contributions and differences of every individual. Wherever possible, we use these differences to drive competitive business advantage, personal growth and, ultimately, create business success.
ConocoPhillips' Commercial business manages our worldwide commodity, supply, marketing, and trading needs. Working closely with Exploration, Production and Marketing, Commercial adds significant value by improving ConocoPhillips' supply chain management and growing its third-party global trading business.
This is a counterparty due diligence role at the heart of the Commercial business. Working within our decentralized screening model, you will help ensure the counterparties we trade with - trading partners, terminals, brokers, agents, and marine-adjacent entities - are properly reviewed, understood, and cleared before we do business, and monitored for change afterwards. The majority of your time will be spent on KYC; a smaller portion supports our trade-monitoring program, giving you exposure to how trading activity is analyzed across global markets.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented, self-motivated, and trainable, who brings a genuine risk mindset and sound judgment - someone who wants to understand why a counterparty or a piece of information doesn't add up, not just tick a box. The successful candidate is curious, organized and communicates clearly.
