ConocoPhillips invites motivated students to join our Finance Onboarding Program as an Accounting/Finance intern in Midland, Texas. You will begin with foundational training, gain exposure to revenue and cost accounting, and support management reporting in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Accounting/Finance employees will typically begin their ConocoPhillips career in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Houston, Texas; or Midland, Texas. There are also limited opportunities available in Anchorage, Alaska. Job description and responsibilities will vary depending on the first job assignment. The Finance organization has new hire positions in Financial and Commercial Services, Financial and Performance Analysis, Treasury, and Audit.
Responsibilities may include: Providing accounting, business analysis, and decision support to operations and management. Typical duties could include revenue, cost or investment accounting, government reporting, working with other companies on crude, gas or product imbalances and exchanges, or internal auditing, management reporting and analysis, and credit administration.
During your first year, you will attend the Finance Onboarding Program which is crafted to acclimate new hires to the company and culture. The program consists of short training sessions led by experienced Finance professionals within the company, introduces concepts of upstream oil and gas operations, and provides insight to the differentiating strategy of ConocoPhillips. The curriculum provides new hires with an overview of career development concepts and early career training and seeks to promote a team environment and establish early networks.
