Job summary

Monogram Foods is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support critical commercial and analytical processes across multiple customer workstreams. You will help manage financial data, pricing strategy, and cross-functional project execution with teams in Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

This role plays an essential part in managing commercial data, project visibility and financial accuracy across multiple customer workstreams. The analyst works closely with Business Development, Category Insights, Commercialization, Finance, R&D, and Supply Chain,Approximately 10% travel expected and will report to the Sr Manager of Business DevelopmentResponsibilities:Business Development & Lead ManagementHelp develop and communicate strategies that drive profitable growth across co-manufacturing, food service, private label, and branded customer portfoliosSupport sales and business manager through RFP and RFI cycles, providing cross-functional support from initiation through submissionManage active customer business by conducting financial and performance analysis to identify growth opportunities and recommend actions that improve customer and product profitabilityManage inbound lead intake and ensure new opportunities are accurately entered and tracked in CRM2) Commercial Reporting & AnalysisDevelop and execute pricing strategies to increase profitabilityManage annual price-increase cycles, track contract timelines, and prepare updated pricing to address inflation-driven changesAnalyze customer-level sales, margin drivers, and P&L leak points and partner with account teams on corrective actionsPrepare commercial reports, including volume projections, forecasts, and performance updatesMonitor raw material, true-up process, packaging, and operational cost inputs; maintain cost cards; and review yield/scrap variances versus contracted BOM expectationsParticipate in AOP (Annual Operating Plan) planning process and ensure accuracy on volume and pricing3) Cross-Functional CoordinationPartner with R&D, Category Insights, Sales, Commercialization, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Operations, Procurement, and Logistics to manage project timelines and deliverablesSupport commercialization for new product launches and lifecycle changes by ensuring commercial accuracy and timely executionParticipate in internal and customer calls to support issue resolution, clarify next steps, and ensure timely follow-throughSupport the development of QBR materials and other customer-facing documents4) Documentation, Systems & Commercial Data ManagementMaintain organized commercial documents, trackers, cost cards, dashboards, and performance files; reconcile trial expenses and ensure proper billingSupport internal planning processes by providing accurate commercial inputs for forecasts, risks & opportunities assessments, and internal visibility toolsSupport documentation and development on Executive presentations.Key Performance Measures:Accuracy and timeliness of commercial data and documentation (cost cards, trackers, pricing files, and project visibility tools)Quality and responsiveness of pricing and profitability analyses, including updates supporting annual price increases and margin improvement initiativesOn-time movement of projects from intake through commercialization, supported by accurate CRM updates and completed action itemsEffectiveness of cross-functional coordination and communication with R&D, Commercialization, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and SalesQuality, clarity, and completeness of customer-facing deliverables, including QBR materials, capability documents, and commercial presentationsThe ideal candidate will have the following:Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related fieldAdvanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, modeling, and the ability to analyze complex datasetsStrong analytical capability, including interpreting costing, contribution margin components, and customer or product performance dataProficiency in PowerPoint and ability to create clear, concise, and commercially relevant reports or presentations for internal and customer useExperience using CRM systems (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to manage pipeline, opportunities, and commercial dataExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer-facing presence and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teamsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel domestically, including overnight travel as neededPreferred Qualifications & Skills:1+ years of experience in business development, commercial operations, finance, supply chain, project coordination, or related work within the food/CPG industryExperience collaborating with Finance, Commercialization, Supply Chain, R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Sales teamsPrior experience maintaining commercial dashboards, cost cards, trackers, forecasts, or customer performance datasetsComfort analyzing production, cost, yield, and margin data to support commercial recommendations.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and support resolution with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to operate independently with strong follow-through, accountability, and adaptability
