Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Benefits Analyst to support health and welfare programs across our facilities. You’ll handle file transfers, enrollment systems, vendor invoicing, and ServiceNow tickets while partnering with HR directors to ensure accurate benefits administration.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 3–5 years’ experience, and strong communication plus proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access. We offer comprehensive benefits and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Health & Welfare Administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software: Excel and Word; Access preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter; able to work hard and contribute to HR success.
  • Must be able to handle deadlines and time pressure.
  • Experience interacting with employees at all levels; limited travel (<5%).

Responsibilities

  • Manage recurring file transfer processes weekly (HRIS, enrollment vendors, LifepointBenefits.net, other vendors).
  • Manage vendor invoicing for Benefits Department.
  • Update Employee enrollment system.
  • Research and resolve employee inquiries via ServiceNow ticket system.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports for Operational Meetings.
  • Oversee annual distribution of SPDs, Summary of Material Modifications, and SAR.
  • Assist audits and reconciliations; transfer employees between facilities.
  • Update communications/training documents for internal users.
  • Coordinate data for Exit Interviews.
  • Assist with Health & Welfare plan communications for new facilities.
  • Assist with Annual Enrollment planning and processes.

Under administrative direction of the Benefits Manager guides and supports the administration of Health & Welfare Plans.

How you’ll contribute

An Analyst, Benefits who excels in this role will:

  • Manage the recurring file transfer processes on a weekly basis, including but not limited to: Files to and from the Company’s HRIS system, benefit enrollment vendors, files to LifepointBenefits.net and files to and from various other benefit related vendors.

  • Manage vendor invoicing for the Benefits Department.

  • Manage updates to the Employee enrollment system.

  • Be responsible for researching and providing solutions for employees and stakeholders through the ServiceNow ticket system.

  • Prepare reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to assist with the preparation of Monthly Operational Meetings.

  • Manage the annual distribution of Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Material Modifications and Summary Annual Report.

  • Assist in preparing audits and reconcilliations.

  • Manage the transfer of employees between facilities.

  • Update communications and training documents on internal employee and leader-facing

  • Coordinate the compilation of data related to Exit Interviews.

  • Serve as a resource to facility HR Directors, as well as other members of the Corporate HR department and Corporate employees with respect to all Health and Welfare Programs. Act as a liaison and proactively follow up with individual vendors on items that require further research.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of government laws and regulations that impact the benefit areas, such as HIPAA, FMLA, IRS Code 125, ADA, ERISA, USERRA and FLSA.

  • Assist with the communication & implementation of Health & Welfare Plans to newly acquired facilities and programs.

  • Assist with Annual Enrollment planning and processe

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Health & Welfare Administration.

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong orientation toward quality customer service.

  • Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software, Excel and Word required, Access preferred.

  • Must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to effectively solve problems.

  • Must be a self-starter, ready to work hard, stay committed and contribute to the ongoing success of the Human Resources department.

  • Must work well with deadlines and related time pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with employees at all levels

  • Limited travel – less than 5%
