Job summary

Strategic Alliance Business Group (SABG) in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Basic Procurement Analyst to support customer requirements and ensure timely deliverables for the Missile Defense Agency. The role is approximately 80% telework and 20% on-site at Redstone Arsenal, with a DoD Secret clearance requirement.

You will handle acquisition regulations, track purchases, maintain data, and generate reports while coordinating with customers and contractors. Strong Excel skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field; two years experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for planning, analysis and trend review.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and cross-team collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work and manage customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and standard office software.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with federal acquisition regulations and agency guidelines for government purchase cards.
  • Track and report status of purchases; identify order discrepancies, changes, cancellations, and dis-approvals.
  • Obtain documentation for purchases in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update customer database.
  • Conduct research and analyze data; prepare and maintain statistical reports.
  • Compose reports, procedures, and correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Brief Description

The Basic Procurement Analyst will support customer requirements to meet customer established timelines and other related duties in support of the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Facilities Operations DSF. This position requires approximately 80% telework and 20% on-site work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education And/Or Experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, no direct experience required, two years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Possess exceptionally strong MS Excel spreadsheet skills
Computer Skills
  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in MS Excel spreadsheets
Clearance

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
